Of course, the donor hair must be sufficient to accommodate the number of grafts needed. During your free evaluation, if you are an appropriate candidate, we can give you an estimate of costs. Our minimum procedure price for FUT is $5,995 and $6,000 for FUE. In summary, our procedures range in price from $5,995 to $11,850.00 depending on the degree of your hair loss.

These products can be effective at retarding further hair loss and have been proven to be effective for some hair re-growth in the mid scalp and back crown area. However, the studies conducted by the manufacturers noted that their products are not effective in the front hairline and over all re-growth can be limited. We can recommend an effective program to help maintain the hair you do have, and surgically replace the hair in areas that you’ve lost hair.
All hairpieces are temporary and disposable. Most people are looking for a permanent solution to their hair loss. Hairpieces rarely look natural; they are costly to continually replace and maintain and none are permanent. Your hairpiece may well dictate how you live your life, limiting your activities such as swimming, bathing, having intimate contact, being outdoors during inclement weather and living with the fear of embarrassment.
Because of a concept called “donor dominance.” The hair harvested from the donor site is genetically programmed to grow for a lifetime and is not subject to the same biological process that causes pattern baldness.
During the procedure with the proper anesthetic block, you will not feel any pain or discomfort. The process of injecting the anesthetic can cause mild discomfort which is very short lasting due to the fast action of the anesthetic. Hair transplantation is minor surgery and there may be some mild discomfort post-operatively for a couple days. However, pain medication is provided in order to minimize any post-op discomfort.
The length of time depends on the number of follicles to be transplanted. The average procedure takes four to nine hours.
You can return to work the following day. However, depending on the balding area, there could be some tele-tale signs that you did something for approximately 10 days. If need be, you can wear a hat starting the day of the procedure to transition yourself during that 10 day period. You should avoid strenuous activities such as heavy weight lifting or aerobic exercise for approximately two weeks after the procedure. It is important to following the post-op instructions so the transplanted grafts have the chance to heal properly in their new location.
Growth of the newly transplanted hair can take place right away, or it can take up to a few months for growth to begin. It depends on a number of factors, but generally the hair begins to grow about 12 to 16 weeks after the procedure.
We don’t recommend sessions larger than 3,500 grafts. Our main goal is the most undetectable outcome. This means using prudence in order to insure that all of the grafts take to their new location and produce hair. “Mega sessions” where as many as 4000 -5000 grafts are transplanted can cause difficulty in healing of the donor site, and loss of viable grafts due to excessive trauma to the scalp.

Hair transplantation is a redistribution of your natural growing hair. Hair growing in areas of greater density like the back and sides of the head can be successfully relocated to thinning or balding areas. The areas of greater density are referred to as the “donor” areas. Most people have a surplus of hair in these areas. Because there is more hair than they need for cosmetic fullness, this surplus hair may be relocated in order to thicken areas that need more coverage. The balding areas which hair will be added are referred to as the “recipient” areas. The objective is to create the cosmetic effect of a full head of hair. In actuality, there will be the same amount of hair on the person’s head when the process is complete. The existing hair is just redistributed in a more cosmetically favorable way.
Hair transplantation has been widely performed since the 1950’s. As you can imagine, with modern medical advances in equipment and technology, what can be accomplished today in terms of naturalness far surpasses what could be accomplished even five years ago. The traditional techniques practiced in the old days were prone to look “pluggy” and unnatural. The most modern technology, on the other hand, creates a more exacting duplication of natural growing hair.
The most advanced hair transplantation is known as follicular hair transplantation. Our surgeons have perfected Microprecision Follicular Grafting®. Hair is relocated in tiny natural follicular grafts. Our surgeons will recreate a totally natural hairline by recreating the transition zone between the hairline itself (using single hairs implanted in a staggered fashion) and transitional hair zone just behind the front hairline. This approximate ¼” transition zone extends all the way across the front hairline. In the very front of the hairline, we implant hairs in a staggered fashion to emulate the irregularities of the previous hairline. In the transitional zone just behind the hairline, we implant follicular grafts containing two and three hairs. This technique completely eliminates the possibility of the ”clumpyness” or “plugginess” that is so common with traditional techniques. By reconstructing the hairline one hair at a time, a natural feathered hairline can be accomplished. Grafts of two, three and four hairs are used in areas behind the front hairline zone. That way density can be achieved more readily without wasting the single hair follicles that are required for that most important area – the hairline.
If you were to place your scalp under magnification, you would see that your hair grows naturally in follicular units containing one hair, two hairs, three hairs and four hairs. So it makes perfect sense by merely relocating the hair follicles in their natural groupings we are providing the most natural results. Remember, naturalness is key. The results of this technique will always look natural regardless if your hair is wet or dry and regardless of your age.
In order to determine whether one is an appropriate candidate for hair transplantation, an evaluation of the hair loss must be performed. Factors to be considered include the age of the prospective patient, the quantity and quality of the donor hair, the size and maturity of the balding area, and the result that the patient reasonably expects. Generally, a person is a better candidate for transplantation when the quality and availability of hair in the donor areas is good, and the size of the thinning area is such that the amount of surplus hair can provide coverage sufficient to suit the taste and expectations of the prospective patient. We will provide you with all of the information you need in order to make an informed decision.
